Welcome to Dehra Doon Chalets. The original chalet accommodation in the Dehra Doon Valley just through Riwaka, past Motueka on your way to Kaiteriteri and New Zealand's beautiful Abel Tasman National Park.
We have been welcoming visitors to our 10 acres of lush farmland for over 20 years. Kaiteriteri, Marahau (start of the Abel Tasman National Park), is a short 10 minute drive, and we are only 5 minutes drive away from Motueka - for shopping, movies and restaurants.
We are only a 40 minute drive from Nelson and offer the perfect holiday location to explore what the Nelson and Tasman regions of New Zealand have to offer. We have superb wineries, vineyards, potters, artists, golf courses, water sports, fishing, seafood, restaurants and cafés. Of course, our major tourist attraction is the Abel Tasman National Park but more and more people are visiting to see some of the Lord of the Rings mountain range locations nearby.
Dehra Doon Chalets and Holiday Home are a family business - we invite you to stay and experience real New Zealand hospitality
Relax and enjoy peaceful country accommodation with Cherie and Rodney Trevurza
"We had an easy and very enjoyable 2-night stay at Cherie and Rodney's chalet. It is very well located to explore amazing beaches and natural sights, and made accessing Abel Tasman National Park super easy. It was convenient, quiet, a little off the beaten track, and in a peaceful, rural valley, with views and a welcome breeze. Very laid back, simple, clean, comfortable, and awesome linen!! We'd certainly book again.

Hi Cherie and Rodney. We genuinely loved your chalet. There's nothing I would do to improve it. I appreciated the supply of beach towels, along with soft bath towels, which was lovely detail I thought went beyond our expectations for the simplicity of accomodation. You do an awesome job of hosting holiday-makers in a beautiful NZ location :)" Lisa
"Perfect stay for rest and relaxation. We stayed in Chalet 3 for 4 nights and it was amazing! There were 3 of us stayed in the chalet, and it was spacious enough for us, me and my parents. The sofa bed is comfortable enough for me, and my parents slept in the queen bed.
The views are stunning, from the orchards and the mountains. Nice view to wake up to. The kitchen is basic and good enough to cook simple meals. The BBQ area and the laundry area is a few steps away from the chalets, which is an additonal bonus.
The location is perfect to explore the Tasman region. All very short drive to Marahau, Moteuka, Kaiteriteri and Takaka and beyond. Many thanks to Rodney and Cherie for always checking us and letting us pick some of their lemons. Well recommended." Patrick Yting
